There will be no meeting after school this week. In the meantime, winter break seems like a great time to do your mid term!

This is your midterm writing assignment for ca/cs. The completed paper must be typed and no less then 2 pages. This paper is due January 14th along with your time log and journal (can be emailed). Late papers from group projects will not be accepted.

Answer the following questions in essay format.

Include your name and email address on each page

1) Briefly summarize your project. What needs in the community did your project help fulfill?

2) What are the causes of those needs? Please describe them.

3) How do people contribute to this problem? How do we help to solve it?

4) How does your understanding of your community change as a result of your participation in this project?

5) What impact do you think your group has had to date? What do you think is your most valued contribution to the project?

6) What do you hope to accomplish 2^nd semester?

Please fill out the time sheet (or similar log of your hours) and turn it in with your paper

Every day that paper is late, another page will be added on. This is very important. If you do not complete the mid term, you will have to do community service all over again next year.

Meeting

There will be a short meeting this week to collect any more journals that have not been turned in yet. Also to discuss how we will organize the trips to the Soup Kitchen.

MEETING

There will be a meeting this wednesday to collect any journal entries that were completed and any (super late) sophmore contracts.

Journal Entries Due Date

All journal entries will be due on January 15th, along with the mid term. These entries are mandatory. If you have not already done them, I suggest you do them now. They are not difficult and take very little time. There will most likely be a short meeting next week.

Meeting this wednesday after school

You really should try to go to this meeting because ms Dinan will be there and will be checking who goes. also bring your journal entries. same room as always.

Thanksgiving basket

There is a meeting this wednesday after school to make a thanksgiving basket and complete the remaining plasticware. Try to complete your journal entries as Ms Dinan will be interested in checking them.

Suggestion: Warm Clothing Drive

If you participate in the warm clothing drive at community park school next friday, you will get many hours. It starts at 3: 30 and while Mikey and myself will not be there, if you go yourself then you will be able to get hours.

MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY!

We will be meeting this wednesday at about 2:00 to finish wrapping up the plasticware from two weeks ago. It will not be too long and I would strongly suggest going. -Sam and Mikey

Next Meeting

There will NOT be a meeting this wednesday after school due to the four day weekend.

However, next week expect a meeting to finish packing the boxes of plasticware.

REMINDER

Turn in sophmore contracts if you have not already done so. It is mandatory.

Meeting after school today!

We will be wrapping plasticware up for the Soup Kitchen today after school. Room 237.
